Sai Raj was booked for colluding with Nagaraj

Hyderabad: Investigators of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) probing the seizure of more than Rs 1.10 crore as bribe from Keesara Tahsildar Erva Balaraju Nagaraj on Friday night arrested three more persons in connection with the case.
Those arrested, apart from Nagraj.

Included two realtors K Anji Reddy and Ch Srinath Yadav of Sri Satya Developers

and a Village Revenue Assistant Bongu Sai Raj.

Officials said they had seized some documents from Anji Reddy

which were related to the MPLADS funds of a Member of Parliament and also some letters addressed to the Medchal-Malkajgiri District Collector in connection with various works in the MP’s constituency.
“We are inquiring about the bribe case from all angles apart from verifying why Anji Reddy had these documents with him,” an official said.
Based on information that a huge bribe transaction was taking place, the ACB officials last night conducted a surprise check at a house at Arul Colony in Kapra and seized Rs 1.10 crore.
This amount was allegedly a part payment made by Srinath Yadav out of Rs 2 crore allegedly demanded by Nagaraj, officials said.
The amount was paid to Nagaraj to clear a land issue pertaining to 10 acres and 39 guntas in survey number 614 and other survey numbers in Rampally Dayara village under Keesara mandal.
During the searches, the officials found unaccounted cash of Rs 8 lakh in Nagaraj’s car and another stash of Rs 28 lakh in his house along with half kg gold ornaments and a locker key.
The ACB registered a case for demanding and accepting a bribe against Nagaraj and of abetting this offence against Srinath Yadav and Anji Reddy.
Sai Raj was booked for colluding with Nagaraj, Srinath and Anji Reddy.
The four were remanded in judicial custody on Saturday.
